I'm using Safari right now to post, which is fine, but has limited capabilities.
Yet, there's the obligatory cute cat picture showing up just as desired.
It also turned out that my other problem (that trying to edit a published post fed me a blank Compose page) was not the problem I thought it was. It was a problem of the speed of data load not matching my impatient nature. In other words: if I hit Edit on an existing blog post, the Compose page comes up, and it comes up blank. Which is freaky, as I'm sure all of you bloggers can appreciate. However, if I had actually waited a few seconds eventaully the data for the post does appear. I still think it's a problem of a way-too-slow loading time. But that's not quite the urgent and tragic problem of not loading the data at all and being unable to edit!
OK, I'm getting annoyed. Everytime I try to add a photo to a post via the 'Computer upload' method i get en error message saying that Vox can't upload the file.
This is happening with acceptable file types of reasonable size.
Now, if I go to the Organize tab and load the photo there, it uploads, no problem.
But then I run into my second problem:
I click on the 'Edit' button to edit a post where I meant to include a picture, with the intent of now adding the picture form my Vox library rather than my hard drive, and it returns a blank compose page to me. I don't see any of the text of my post.
I'm on a Mac and already can only use Vox reliably in Firefox rather than my preferred browser Safari.
Anyone else experiencing either of these problems?
I just sent my sister an invite to use Vox, so I figured I better test-drive it before she starts peppering me with questions.
I told her she needed to start a blog because I was sick of her sending her digital pictures courtesy of a site on which I had to register to view the shots (in her case, Snapfish.) It's somewhat similar with Vox, in that folks will have to register just to comment...but if I understand it correctly at least she can post with public URLs that people can look at, if she so designates.
That's my sister and her husband...handsome couple...I will get her blogging yet!!!
