Hat tip to Atlanta's Vegan Examiner, Alyse, for pointing me to my latest iPhone application download, VeganXpress, in this post about vegan web sites and apps.
Wednesday started out rather unpleasantly, as I had to have a small cavity filled. Wouldn't be that big a deal, except I still have my wisdom teeth, and this cavity was on a wisdom tooth and way down near the gum line. Not at all a comfortable work area for me. Luckily, while much about dentistry hasn't changed, they have started using new materials and tools that make a filling go by pretty quickly.
The day picked up significantly after that though. First, because I had time to kill before a lunch appt., I found a Starbucks, had a Soy Latte, and tried out the new iTunes interface that Apple and Starbucks partnered on. You can read a bit about that here. Fun...and dangerous.
The I met two colleagues of a former colleague for a lunch. They wanted to pick my brain about new media and how theatres can use it for marketing purposes. Since I don't do that kind of work anymore, I thought I'd make it worth my while by asking them to meet me at a new vegetarian restaurant I've heard a lot about: Merit Vegetarian in Sunnyvale. Yummity-yum-yum. I'd need to go back and try their Sweet and Sour Pork for a true comparison, but they might give Garden Fresh a run for their money!
