Brief, interesting post at a blog I haven't visited before called DietBlog: Vegetarian vs. Vegan vs. Raw: Which is Best?
Sometimes it's the comments that are the most interesting, or frustrating, or engaging, and that's certainly the case with this post.
Many people are very invested in justifying why they don't have to become veg*ns, and oyu'll see plenty of that. But there are also plenty of comments from folks who are happily living as veg*ns. It's actually much more balanced than the comment threads I often see on similar posts.
Frankly, I can't imagine going Raw, so I can understand why people think veganism is extreme. Maybe if I tried it I'd feel differently. My entire experience with raw foodism is a couple of trips to Cafe Gratitude, which I found interesting, but not enticing enough to want to eat that way every day. (And it seemed hard on my stomach, which I understand is counterintuitive, but there it is.)
Then again, at one point I couldn't imagine I could ever do without cheese, so there you go.
