Now, while I freely admit that sometimes i eat the wrong things, even as a vegan, it is very rare indeed that I walk away from a meal feeling stuffed to the gills. I attribute this to the lack of cheese in my diet. Cheese is quite filling and can site quite heavily in your system.
Last night, however, I manahed to just be digusting!! All because of chips and salsa.
And once again it was on a day where I made a salad for lunch. I clearly am rebelling against the salad idea, no matter how tasty and healthful I think they are (and I do, I really do!)
Breakfast:
Odwalla Grapefruit Juice
1 slice of Sourdough Bread with Soy Margarine and Organic Avocado
Organic Corn Flakes and Organic Rice Milk
Organic Banana
Lunch:
Romaine with Organic Tomatoes, Carrots, Organic Celery, Organic Avocado, Edamame and Roasted Corn Kernels
Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar
Snack (at my mom's house...the last bastion of automatic, piggly-wiggly eating):
Nuts
Ruffles Potato Chips
Dinner (Chevy's):
Way WAY too much chips and salsa
Asparagus, Portabello Mushroom, Avocado and Black Bean Burrito (Eaten like i eat all burritos...by slicing it open and eating out the insides of it, while leaving the tortilla shell. I also used to do this with omelets, and I don't eat most of any pizza slice's crust either!)
Corn Tomalito (actually, not sure this is vegan now that I think about it.)
I really felt icky after dinner. To the point of groaning that I wished I was bulemic, which isn't funny I know, but given my strong aversion to throwing up is never likely to happen.
Must. Get. Back. In. Control. Vegan eating is not enough. Healthy vegan eating takes a little more effort.
