Day 107: Must. Remember. To. Eat. First.
Every two weeks I go get my nails done. This is not pure vanity (although a lot of it is vanity.) Having my nails wrapped also prevents me from biting them and from picking at my hangnails, which used to be a terrible habit of mine.
My appointment is in the 12:30-1PM time frame, and lasts anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes, depending on whether I'm getting a pedicure too or not.
Inevitable and without fail, I forget to eat lunch before I go. because it's on a weekend I have a slightly later breakfast than usual, so it doesn't occur to me. Which is always a mistake, because by the time I get home at 2-2:30, I'm famished. And cranky. (Which goes right a long with famished for me.) Then weird meals of whatever I can quickly shove in my mouth ensue. It's not pretty.
Breakfast:
Organic Corn Flakes with Dried Cranberries
Organic Rice Milk
2 slices of Sourdough Bread with Soy Margarine
Lunch:
Organic Pineapple Juice
Walnuts
Organic Red Hot Blue Tortilla Chips
Guacamole
Trader Joe's Vegan Pad Thai Bowl (first time trying this...pretty good, just watch out, because those noodles get hot, and the sauce makes them sticky, so I actually burned my lip because I tried to eat a bite too soon, and one of the noodles stuck to me! Another thing to watch out for: it has 600 calories!! Albeit practically zero from fat. Stil, it would be fine if this were all you were eating, but aftr my scarfing down of mucho nuts and guacamole, this was no doubt a day's worth of food right there!)
Dinner (good old Golden Wok):
Fried Wontons
Spring Roll
Braised Tofu
Vegetarian fried Rice (no Egg)
Coconut Sorbet
